After attending David Lipscomb College and receiving the distinction of valedictorian of his undergraduate class, Dr. Robert Wallace McClure moved on to the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. McClure completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and Affiliated Hospitals in Dallas, Texas. He then completed a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Affiliated Hospitals in Nashville, Tenn.
Dr. McClure received many academic honors including the Founder’s Medal Award, the title of Valedictorian and the Upjohn Achievement Award at Vanderbilt Medical School. He has a medical license in the states of Texas and Tennessee and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. McClure also belongs to the following professional societies: the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha and the American College of Physicians.
